Characteristics & equipment
Maximum boat of 11 persons. Wide and very stable, safe navigation allows to face the spring, summer the most animated rivers of Bearn and Basque Country. The rafting is approachable to all and to all safely. It's also possible to practise the Canoraft, small raft in 2 or 3 places.
The two activities of canoraft and rafting can be run together.
Itinerary
Half day Rafting / Canoraft :
The meetin point is fixed either in the morning at 9:15am, or in the afternoon at 2:30pm to the house ‘A Boste’ in the village of Sauveterre de Béarn, where we will provide you with the necessary equipment (changing rooms available). We then depart to our embarkation point by minibus for 10km course. You'll finish your descent in the feet of the medieval city.
Day Rafting / Canoraft :
For the whole day Rafting and Canoraft, the meeting point is fixed at 10:00am to the house "A Boste" in the village of sauveterre of Béarn, to equip you (wetsuits...), changing rooms are provided you. We drive you then up to the point of bording for a descent of 20km. End of the activities about 5:30pm.
Half way down the course we stop for lunch, you can if you wish bring your own picnic or join us for a BBQ on the riverside including potato salad, bacon, lamb chop, home made desert, bread, wine and coffee.
You will need to bring swimming costume, towel and shoes suitable for use in the water.
